Dear friends,

I am proud to tell you that I have been nominated for Dutch Artist of the Year 2011.
After the votes from more than 20,000 people, a panel of 100 art experts has chosen the 8 nominees.
These 8 nominees are:

Sam Drukker
Marlene Dumas
Titia Ex
Marc Mulders
Erwin Olaf

  Everyone now has a chance to vote for their favourite Dutch artist of the year from October 1^st up to November 1^st 2010 on the “Kunstweek” website (see link below).
The result will be announced on November 5^th during the opening night of the Art Week in the Hermitage Museum, Amsterdam.
It has also been a very productive year with many light installations and much attention from the media. Germany’s international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle, produced a programme on European light artists and chose me to represent The Netherlands. A wonderful year so far, therefore, allowing me plenty of contact with the public and it’s not over yet.
